Out of Context

‘Out of Context’ is an exhibit featuring the dissertation design projects of final year graphic design students at Leeds Arts University. It is named so for the variety of contexts and themes that are explored within the range of work being exhibited. This concept for the exhibition branding and visual identity explores the concept of ‘context’ and being ‘out of context’. Without context, we do not have the necessary background information or insight into something, in other words, we only have half of the picture. This visual identity represents this idea of only having half of the picture, through a repeated application of semi-circles, which create a linear and structured layout, in a bold yet subtle concept for the branding of this exhibition.
